You have to sit the test in the same year that you apply through UCAS. Also, please note that you can attempt the UCAT only once each year. The test is in 5 sections and is timed separately. The total duration of the examination is 2 hours and all the questions are multiple choice questions.
In the first 2 sections, each correct response is awarded 1 mark to get the raw score; these raw scores are then converted to a scale from 1(lowest) to 9(highest).
Writing task is graded by two trained raters on two parameters – quality of content on a scale from 0 to 5 and quality of English language use on a scale A(Lowest) to E (Highest).
